Seekers
We starting talking about truth last time. I asked if you were seeking the truth. Also, are you sharing the truth? Until you have found the truth, you can’t share it. You can’t be a reliable witness to something that you don’t already know yourself.
As I’ve said before, there are people you will witness to that have no interest in the truth. Some people would rather have the comforts of the world. The truth about Jesus and God is NOT compatible with a worldly view or life. You can’t support child murderers and say you for justice and protection of the innocent. You also can’t say you follow the truth and deny the truth at the same time. It’s not logical…
Others
Speaking of others, there are those that are on a truth quest. I’ve talked a lot with someone the last couple of weeks that claims they are looking for truth. Will they discover it and deny it because they don’t want to change? Or will they accept the truth regardless of where it leads? We will see…
And then there are those that CLAIM they are looking for truth, but are they really? There is ample evidence that the Bible is real and that Jesus actually lived. If Jesus really did what He said He was going to do (be killed and resurrected), then logic tells us He was telling the truth. Was He also telling us the truth with all the parables about the Kingdom of God? If so, then the truth is that He really is the ONLY way to God!
Now if that is a logical statement, and one you believe, then all other beliefs should be tossed out. But if someone decides they don’t like something Jesus said, then it’s easier to deny that Jesus is God than to admit they are acting against the One true God.
Your Choice
Now let me talk to YOU for a moment… Are there things that YOU have put ahead of the Truth? That YOU have put ahead of Jesus? Take a moment right now and ask yourself, is Jesus and God really your Lord? The extreme controller of your life?
When you do decide to make Him Lord, it will be easier to talk to others…
Grace to you! Seek the truth and then share it! And thank you for continuing to read… I do apologize that I’ve been less than regular in my posting. Summer time means I’m not on a normal schedule.
Brings to mind, John 8:32; the truth shall set you free! And what a wonderful sense of peace accompanies the truth!
Amen
